Janet Robinson - From Street Children to Kasambira Miracle

Janet RobinsonTen Year Celebration of God's Goodness

Janet Robinson arrived in Uganda in July 1998 and moved to Busia in the December. In November 1999 while working at a church in Busia God spoke to her about Street Children. She arranged to meet with 3 leaders of the Street Children, but when she arrived she found 27 children had turned up. The ministry to Street Children was born. Little did she realise at the time how The Lord was going to use her over the next 10 years and beyond, to show His love to so many people. It truly is a miracle.

While working with Street Children, Janet also became involved with families in Bukapere B, Kasambira. She eventually moved to Kasambira with 7 Street Boys in January 2004. Since then Janet and her team have helped to Support Families, arranged Education for some of the Children, developed Self Help Projects, begun a Nursery School and is now starting a Primary School.
In 2005 Janet believed that God was asking her to buy land in Bukapere B, to erect a multipurpose building which would be used for the benefit of the community in the village. In 2007 the building was completed and called The Grace Centre. The LC5 visited it as did Rebecca Kadaga (Deputy Speaker of Parliament) and The First Lady, Janet Museveni who officially opened the building later in the year.

In March 2007 a church was formed and now Kingdom Life Ministry functions from Kingdom Life Church Uganda under the Covering of KLC Northampton England. The Grace Centre is the home of Kingdom Life Church and in 2008 became the home of Kingdom Life Nursery School. There was also a huge demand for the provision of Primary Education for these children, so the Nursery School continues and Primary 1 started in January 2009.

Many other parents asked for their children to receive education, so from January 2009 there are TWO classes for Nursery and TWO classes for Primary 1. This gives an opportunity for a maximum of 100 children to be educated in Nursery and 80 children to be educated in Primary 1.
